Cassyette drops deluxe debut album and powerful new single “Phantom Limb,” marking a new creative chapter.

Cassyette unleashes a fierce evolution of her artistry with the deluxe release of her debut album This World Still F***ing Sucks, out now via 23 Recordings. Accompanied by the emotionally raw single “Phantom Limb,” the 19-track deluxe version offers listeners a deeper dive into the themes that defined her breakout year.

The new tracklist includes her Gaga-approved cover of “Disease,” a stripped-down “When She Told Me,” and an extended version of “Sex Metal,” reflecting the energy of her newly launched club night Degenerette—a celebration of queer, goth, and alternative identities.

Speaking about “Phantom Limb,” Cassyette shares: “Phantom limb syndrome is a chronic condition… Phantom limb is about what it’s like to leave someone toxic that never loved you back… I felt like I had to relearn my entire existence. This World Still F***ing Sucks is very much that chapter of my life. I am closing that chapter now. Life has changed and something new is bubbling.”

As one of alt music’s most authentic voices, Cassyette explores themes of grief, substance abuse, and mental health through powerful vocals and genre-bending compositions. The album features fan favorites like “Friends In Low Places” and “Why Am I Like This?”, and was created with long-term collaborators Tylr Rydr, Olly Burden, and Olivia Sebastianelli.

Degenerette, her new club night, kicked off at Brighton’s Club Revenge with sets by Cassyette x Filthy Pig, Seven Euro, and Zlutz—ushering in the next era of Cassyette.
