“Facelift” blends introspective lyricism and dancehall flair as Gold Fang links with 1st Klase for his latest drop.

Rising Caribbean-Australian artist Gold Fang opens a new chapter with “Facelift,” his first release of 2025. The single, featuring Trinidadian powerhouse producer 1st Klase, is an emotionally resonant and rhythm-driven meditation on self-worth and resilience.

Gold Fang brings lyrical vulnerability to the forefront, revealing the pressure of public perception and the importance of returning to what feels authentic. “Facelift is taking what we deserve,” he says. “And if you nah Wah give it then…..Wah d name? exactly.”

Written during a UK writing trip with J.Ar.J and brought to life by 1st Klase—known for his work with Sean Paul and David Guetta—the track balances groove-heavy percussion with honest introspection. The video, directed by Rael Luvi in Trinidad, was made possible through Music Australia’s export funding, bringing the global and local together in one compelling visual.

Backed by critical acclaim and festival appearances across SXSW Sydney, Field Day, and Splendour in the Grass, Gold Fang continues to carve out his space in the international Afro-Caribbean and dancehall scene.
