British producer SG Lewis and pop innovator Shygirl have dropped their new single “Sugar”, a glowing, euphoric track perfect for summer, club nights, or headphones at sunset. It’s the first taste of SG Lewis’s new album, Anemoia, arriving September 5.

Coming off the success of “mr useless” — now at over 300M streams — “Sugar” carries the same alluring chemistry. Shygirl’s vocal texture perfectly complements SG Lewis’s vibrant production style.

Anemoia is a dancefloor-rooted journey shaped by SG’s deep exploration of the emotional pull of the past — even those times he never lived through. Balearic sounds, Ibiza nights, and modern songwriting all shape this uniquely nostalgic yet forward-looking sound.

“This album is rooted in the dancefloor,” he continues. “Even its quieter moments are shaped by Balearic sounds… I want Anemoia to be a soundtrack to living in the present.”

Following the introspective tone of “Back of My Mind,” “Sugar” channels sensuality and pulse in equal measure. A North American tour is also locked in for this fall, bringing the new music directly to fans.
