Whitney Whitney debuts with the EP ‘1.1’ and visual single “Touching You,” out now via Atlantic Records.

Whitney Whitney brings a unique blend of orchestral pop and lyrical vulnerability to her debut EP, 1.1, available now through Atlantic Records. The project showcases a soundscape built around emotion, imagination, and strong artistic voice.

At the forefront of the release is “Touching You,” a single that explores the idea of romantic connection—even when the feeling isn’t present in real time:

“‘Touching You’ is a song about falling in love again… I think art is play, and this song is about no one—just me playing with what I imagined letting myself fall in love again would feel like.”

A visualizer on YouTube accompanies the single, reinforcing the cinematic quality that defines the full EP.

“Writing this EP was one of the most fun and rewarding things I’ve ever done,” Whitney shared. “It’s so many things at once that all mean so much to me.”

Raised between Connecticut and New York, and currently working in Los Angeles, Whitney’s background includes musical theater and a deep appreciation for storytelling. Her influences—spanning 80s pop, Fiona Apple, and Elton John—shine through the composition.

The result is a debut that captures what Whitney refers to as a “dance of every emotion felt together.” With 1.1, she opens her first artistic chapter—one marked by vulnerability, depth, and vision.
