On ‘Island Boyz’, Myke Towers fuses identity, emotion, and global beats into a genre-spanning album.

Myke Towers delivers his most ambitious work yet with Island Boyz, a 23-track album that speaks directly to his Puerto Rican roots and artistic evolution. The project spans reggaetón, afrobeats, Latin R&B, dembow, and more—forming a cohesive yet boundary-breaking body of work.

Opening track “La Despedida” sets an emotional pace, and each song that follows unfolds like a new chapter of self-expression. The album’s hit single “Soleao,” featuring Quevedo, dominates Spanish radio and marks a major moment in Latin music this summer.

Other highlights include “No Hay Break” with Omah Lay and “Surferita” with iZaak, the latter blending ska and tuba for a fresh Caribbean tone. “Tengo Celos” emerges as a standout, paired with a stunning music video crafted by Vampire Films under the direction of Daniel Eguren.

Reflecting on the album, Towers says: “I wanted it to sound like where I’m from, but also like what I’m living right now. Island Boyz is the realest thing I’ve done to date.”

Island Boyz stands as a global statement of who Myke Towers is—and where he’s going.
