Maggie Lindemann unveils bold new single “one of the ones,” exploring modern love and detachment.

Maggie Lindemann returns with her latest single “one of the ones,” released on her swixxzaudio imprint via Virgin Music Group. The new track not only introduces fresh production choices but also marks a narrative turning point for the singer-songwriter.

Infused with hyperpop stylings, “one of the ones” bursts with kinetic sound — glitchy beats, distorted synth layers, and unpredictable tempo changes. Lindemann’s vocal delivery toggles between emotionally charged and coolly detached, matching the track’s lyrical contradictions.

The song’s music video furthers the concept visually, as Lindemann transforms a pristine office setting into a stage of subtle rebellion. Premiering on MTV Live and other platforms, the clip captures the emotional fragmentation expressed in the track.

“This song is about the tension between craving connection and pushing people away…” Lindemann notes. “It’s kind of chaotic and a little reckless, but honest…”

Her previous full-length release, SUCKERPUNCH, positioned her as a genre disruptor. That momentum carried through to 2024’s HEADSPLIT, celebrated with back-to-back sold-out shows at LA’s Troubadour.

“one of the ones” confirms Maggie Lindemann’s commitment to pushing sonic and emotional boundaries, resonating with listeners navigating the same emotional chaos she describes.
