Lorna Reid Expands Her Jazz Legacy with “I Will Tell Your Story” Vinyl Release

The vinyl release of Lorna Reid’s new album offers a soulful jazz journey rooted in storytelling.

Jazz singer-songwriter Lorna Reid introduces I Will Tell Your Story, her latest project now released on vinyl. The 11-track album merges traditional jazz textures with contemporary production, with Boo Hewerdine at the helm as producer and creative guide.

The project includes Reid’s original compositions, such as the standout “Sweet Baby Blues” and the title track “I Will Tell Your Story.” These works showcase Reid’s lyrical depth and vocal warmth, supported by musicians including Louise Clare Marshall and Gustaf Ljunggrens.

BBC Radio Scotland’s Iain Anderson named it Album of the Week, praising it as: “This album is simply great, soulful, grown-up song craft.”

With artwork and full lyrics included in the limited edition heavyweight vinyl, the release invites fans to engage with the music physically and emotionally. Reid, who recorded the album in several Scottish studios, brings influences of jazz, blues, and soul to the forefront.

She’ll present the album live on 16 November at Crazy Coqs, Brasserie Zédel as part of this year’s EFG London Jazz Festival, offering audiences a rare, intimate look at her work.
