Kyra Machida Introduces Burlesque-Inspired Pop Fantasy with New Single “Handsy”

Kyra Machida releases “Handsy”, a playful and confident pop track paired with a striking visual.
Kyra Machida reveals a daring new facet of her sound with the single “Handsy”, a release through Sound Factory Records, RECORDS, and RCA Records. With fun rhythms and a standout vocal style, the track offers a playful twist on modern pop energy.
The release arrives alongside a visualizer that captures the spirit of the song: Kyra dancing in a burlesque-style club, alone but fully in command. The visual adds narrative dimension and emphasizes the confidence behind the track’s tone.
Describing the process, Kyra says:
“We wrote ‘Handsy’ right after I got back from London, which really inspired the bold, fun, totally unattached character you see in the visualizer. There’s something luring about her — kind of like a spell — and we wanted the production to reflect that energy: playful, quirky, a little sexy, but never too serious. My producer and I were both deep into Gwen Stefani, and Fergie at the time, totally by coincidence, and I think that’s what inspired the playfulness of the song. The whole point was to build this world that she could pull you into and I’m so excited about the visualizer because I think it really brings that story to life.”
The single follows “DNA”, as well as a triple release that showcased Kyra’s ability to shift effortlessly across future-pop, dance, and electronic textures. With each new drop, her creative vision becomes more defined.
By weaving performance into both her audio and visual output, Kyra continues to present herself as a multifaceted pop artist unafraid of bold choices.
