Mariah The Scientist’s latest single, “Is It A Crime,” featuring Kali Uchis, continues the artist’s trajectory toward her upcoming album HEARTS SOLD SEPARATELY, out on August 22. This sultry track builds on the energy of her earlier release, “Burning Blue.”

With production from Matt1k and Nineteen85, “Is It A Crime” strikes a balance between smooth R&B and raw confession. The duo’s songwriting creates a compelling atmosphere of longing and honesty.

Mariah has recently been recognized as part of The Recording Academy’s 2025 New Membership Class, and gained a boost from Rihanna’s endorsement during a press appearance.
