With ‘In the Shadow of Time’, Shyfrin Alliance Take a Fearless Leap Into the Unknown
Shyfrin Alliance unveil their second album ‘In the Shadow of Time’, a strikingly conceptual blues-rock work that explores time as its central theme. Spearheaded by Eduard Shyfrin, the group follows up their 2024 debut ‘Upside Down Blues’ – a project that saw wide radio play and over 500,000 streams – with a deeper, more ambitious musical journey.
The album features seven tracks recorded in Paris with leading French rock musicians at the studios Barillet, Ferber, and Grand Armee. From the production to the lyrics, every element is crafted to investigate how time shapes human experience – both sonically and philosophically.
“I don’t think there exists an album dedicated purely to the topic of time,” Eduard remarks. “You will not find another album like this. My principle is I may always be afraid to enter new areas, but I will always enter them. Even if it means daring to hit the Wall of Time.”
Eduard’s voice, a distinct baritone, anchors each track, while the instrumentation shifts between moody rock atmospheres and spiritually influenced melodies. The advance single ‘Buddha Blues’ sets the tone with its bluesy rhythm and message of healing drawn from Buddhist ideas.

The album’s title track further deepens the concept, portraying time as a mysterious force pressing against our consciousness, likened to abstract art. Shyfrin’s background in science and Kabbalah – including his bestselling book From Infinity to Man – adds unique depth to his musical explorations.
‘In the Shadow of Time’ isn’t just an album – it’s a thought-provoking experience, bringing together intellect, sound, and emotion in a powerful artistic statement.
