Judith Owen’s enduring relationship with jazz takes center stage as she revisits her holiday album ‘Judith Owen Swings Christmas’ while looking ahead to a new album scheduled for early 2026. Known for her expressive voice and compelling storytelling, Owen continues to bridge personal experience with timeless musical traditions.

Raised in Wales and later immersed in London’s creative scene, Owen’s musical foundation was shaped early. Now based in New Orleans, she remains deeply connected to the roots of jazz while bringing her own perspective to the genre. Her work has earned international praise for its balance of technical excellence and emotional openness.

Her album ‘Come On and Get It’, released in 2022, marked a defining chapter by celebrating influential women from the 1940s and 1950s. The project reached more than 3 million streams and supported a series of sold-out shows worldwide, reinforcing Owen’s global appeal.

Mental health awareness and personal resilience have long been integral to Owen’s creative identity. After losing her mother as a teenager, she has consistently spoken about the role music played in her healing and self-expression.

“I wanted to do music that made me smile, lit up my face, and made me laugh,” she explains. “After years of therapy and healing, joy became my rebellion.”

That sense of joy and clarity is present throughout ‘Judith Owen Swings Christmas’, where festive jazz arrangements invite connection and reflection. Her collaboration with New Orleans musical director David Torkanowsky continues to support her evolving sound.

The forthcoming album expands on themes of womanhood, creative freedom, and emotional honesty, aligning with broader cultural conversations around visibility and artistic longevity. Owen’s work has drawn admiration from Helen Mirren, Jamie Lee Curtis, John Goodman, Jamie Cullum, and Jennifer Coolidge.

With headline tour dates scheduled across Europe and the United States, and additional performances to be announced, Judith Owen’s creative journey continues with warmth, purpose, and unmistakable voice.
