Kate Peytavin’s Generation Numb, an alt-pop EP blending ’90s influences with raw introspection, is available now.

Kate Peytavin, a 19-year-old singer-songwriter, introduces her debut EP, Generation Numb, a six-song project that explores themes of self-discovery and emotional depth in today’s world. Released via Capitol Records/S10 Records, Generation Numb is a fusion of alt-pop energy and introspective storytelling, capturing Peytavin’s unique style and confessional lyricism.

Crafted alongside industry producers like Jeremy Hatcher, Paris Carney, Mark Nilan Jr., and Mozella, Generation Numb takes listeners through Peytavin’s emotional journey. The title track, “i don’t feel anything,” caught the attention of John Mayer, who described her as “a cool artist” on his SiriusXM radio show. Other highlights include “HELP!” with its infectious gang vocals and “hang a mirror on yourself,” an introspective take on self-awareness in relationships.

Inspired by ’90s alt-rock and coming-of-age films like Girl, Interrupted, Peytavin’s EP channels her raw emotions into songs like “happy when i’m sad” and “under it.” Each track reflects a personal journey, delivering both high-energy and introspective moments.

Generation Numb introduces Kate Peytavin as a bold new voice in alt-pop, resonating with listeners who relate to her honest exploration of growing up in today’s world.
