Sebastian Schub Shares “Scared of Screaming” and Announces June EP “Sing Like Madonna”

Sebastian Schub’s “Scared of Screaming” showcases emotional depth ahead of his June 6 debut EP.
Sebastian Schub releases his latest single “Scared of Screaming,” a raw and emotionally textured ballad produced by Dann Hume and out now via Island EMI / Capitol Records. Along with the release, Schub has announced his debut EP Sing Like Madonna, arriving June 6.
The track—tender, vulnerable, and powerfully delivered—stands out as a personal favorite for the artist. “I think Scared of Screaming is more dear to me than any song on this EP,” he reveals. “The lyrics were slowly gathering on a note on my phone… until I met the wonderful Dann Hume and Theo Hutchcraft.”
Schub’s path to this moment is one of sheer persistence. From opera school in Hamburg to busking in London, every chapter of his life has added to his layered songwriting. His original gigs began late at night on the South Bank, where he experimented after playing covers all day, slowly building a following from the ground up.
Having worked with Steve Fitzmaurice and Rob Kirwan, Schub found a perfect match in producer Dann Hume. With his debut EP approaching, and headline shows booked in NYC and LA, plus a BST Hyde Park appearance supporting Noah Kahan, 2025 is shaping up to be Schub’s breakout year.
