Global artists Moby, BLOND:ISH, and Kiko Franco join forces on new Defected single “Natural Blues.”
Three influential voices in electronic music collide with “Natural Blues,” released by Defected Records. Moby, BLOND:ISH, and Kiko Franco deliver a transcendent house experience rooted in nostalgia and elevated with a fresh energy.
The collaboration came about unexpectedly. “Moby randomly called me… and asks: ‘Wanna remix one of my songs?’” BLOND:ISH recounts. The remix quickly evolved into a full partnership, incorporating Kiko Franco’s talent from São Paulo.
Franco reflects on the process: “BLOND:ISH is a powerhouse and welcomed me with open arms… I’m really happy with how it turned out.”
The final track blends warm piano chords, soulful vocal samples, and deep grooves. Kiko Franco brings Afro House textures and melodic intensity that amplify the track’s drive. “I’m happy to be able to add elements of my identity… especially my leads and my Afro House percussion.”
BLOND:ISH, already celebrated for her sustainability efforts and major performances, adds another layer of success with this collaboration. Together with Moby’s legacy and Franco’s rising influence, “Natural Blues” is a sonic celebration of artistic chemistry.
