‘The Hard Way’ is set for September 26 on Atlantic Records, Cameron Whitcomb releases ‘Fragile’ and maps a packed tour slate.

Here is the headline update. Cameron Whitcomb will release his debut album ‘The Hard Way’ on September 26 via Atlantic Records, with pre orders and pre saves open now. To introduce the era, he drops ‘Fragile’, a new single positioned as his most emotionally bare to date.

“This record is every piece of who I am,” says Whitcomb. “And I sincerely hope you enjoy it.”

The album offers a clear view of Whitcomb’s journey, tracing early addiction, the work of recovery, and the shape of adulthood that followed. ‘Fragile’ puts words to the internal shift that comes with that growth, and it anchors the personal scope of the project.

“‘Fragile’ is about being told to man up your whole childhood and pushing away everyone that cares because of your own insecurities,” shares Whitcomb. “It’s a song that came from a place of finally starting to understand why I was the way I was — and wanting to change that.”

The track was produced by frequent collaborator Jack Riley, with credits that include Grace VanderWaal and Knox. Songwriting comes from Whitcomb alongside Nolan Sipe and Cal Shapiro, linked with Alex Warren’s ‘Ordinary’. Together they capture the search for a love that meets you where you are and honors what you have survived.

Tour plans are extensive. Whitcomb opens with a top billed slot at Ontario’s Boots and Hearts Music Festival, then moves to the EU and UK for a sold out leg of the Hundred Mile High Tour. He returns to launch the I’ve Got Options Tour on September 26 in Portland, Oregon, continuing through mid November. Most dates are already sold out, among them a two night stand at LA’s Troubadour on October 4 and 5, with additional nights added in Atlanta and Nashville.

‘Fragile’ is out now and ‘The Hard Way’ is right behind it.
