Cameron Whitcomb Unveils Acoustic Version of Hit Single “Medusa”

Cameron Whitcomb shares a reimagined acoustic version of his hit song “Medusa,” which has garnered over 26M streams worldwide.
Cameron Whitcomb kicks off 2025 with the release of “Medusa (Acoustic),” a reimagined take on his breakout hit. The original track, which has accumulated more than 26 million global streams, was spotlighted by Billboard as one of its “5 Must-Hear New Country Songs” upon release.
Whitcomb’s acoustic rendition highlights the emotive depth of the song, offering fans a fresh perspective on the fan-favorite single. This release sets the tone for a milestone year for the Nanaimo, BC-based artist, who was recently featured on the cover of Apple Music’s Today Country playlist and named among Amazon Music’s 2025 Artists To Watch.
The year ahead is packed with major live performances, starting with Whitcomb’s Hundred Mile High Tour, which begins on March 13 in Charlotte, NC. The tour, named after his upcoming single dropping January 31, includes a sold-out New York City date at Bowery Ballroom on March 28, with an additional show added on March 24.
In February, Whitcomb will headline shows in Canada before heading to Australia as the special guest of Sam Barber on his Restless Mind Tour, which is already close to selling out. Fans can expect additional US and Canadian dates to be announced in the coming months.
Building on the success of his debut EP, Quitter, Whitcomb’s music continues to resonate. Tracks like “Quitter” and “Love Myself” have garnered praise for their emotional honesty, with Billboard hailing “Quitter” as “an anthemic folk track in the mold of Noah Kahan.”
With “Medusa (Acoustic),” Cameron Whitcomb once again proves his ability to connect with fans through intimate, compelling storytelling.
