The new release “Supernova Love” by David Guetta and IVE blends EDM and K-pop in a global tribute to love, released today on KDM and Virgin Records.
David Guetta has partnered with K-pop group IVE on their new single, “Supernova Love,” now available on KDM Records and Virgin Records. The track brings together Guetta’s celebrated dance production with the captivating vocals of IVE, creating a song that resonates across cultures. Adding to its significance, “Supernova Love” features a melody from Ryuichi Sakamoto’s “Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence,” serving as a heartfelt homage to the legendary composer.
This marks Guetta’s first foray into the K-pop genre, a collaboration he described as inspiring and innovative. “Supernova Love is more than just a song; it’s a global anthem that celebrates the strength and beauty of love across cultures,” Guetta shared. Meanwhile, IVE expressed similar excitement, saying, “Collaborating with David Guetta was truly fun, and we feel honored to release such a great song with a beautiful melody.”
IVE’s six members—ANYUJIN, GAEUL, REI, JANGWONYOUNG, LIZ, and LEESEO—shine on this track, continuing the momentum they’ve built with hits like “Eleven” and “Love Dive.” With “Supernova Love,” Guetta and IVE bridge genres and connect with listeners around the world in a shared celebration of love.
