DEJA DEAD is poised to introduce a compelling new work, ‘SNAPSHOTS’, arriving later this month and accompanied by a thoughtfully designed immersive event at Glasgow Film Theatre on 23 March 2026.

The event promises to expand the reach of the single through a full-sensory experience that includes recording studio footage, narrative elements, and the premiere of a neon-lit techno-horror short film. The film has been built around the sonic and thematic core of the album, further blurring the lines between sound and story.

‘SNAPSHOTS’ was written during a moment of significant personal reflection, channeling themes of memory, trauma, and recovery. Its lyrics create a vivid emotional timeline, echoing the tension between holding on and letting go. DEJA DEAD explains, “To me, SNAPSHOTS is about looking back in order to move forward. It takes hitting rock bottom, going to that place that’s so dark, so lost… until a new image starts coming through— possibly a way out.”

From the opening, the track establishes its mood with the sound of Scotland’s last operational cinema organ—an element that not only provides haunting texture but also grounds the music in the cinematic vision explored in the upcoming Glasgow premiere.

Lyric lines such as “Red string forms a timeline / tangled all over my room” and “You won’t take me back there!” emphasize the emotional weight and determination behind the work.

Produced by RICO and performed and written by DEJA DEAD, ‘SNAPSHOTS’ is more than just a single—it’s a layered entry into a narrative that spans music and film, inviting audiences into an immersive and deeply personal creative universe.
