FINNEAS & Ashe Go Retro with The Favors and Their New Single “The Little Mess You Made”

Meet The Favors: FINNEAS and Ashe unveil new project and drop their throwback-inspired debut single.
FINNEAS and Ashe have transformed their collaborative chemistry into an official duo: The Favors. Their first release as a group, “The Little Mess You Made,” is now streaming with a Scott Cudmore-directed video and sets the tone for their album The Dream, out September 19.
The duo brings a visual and sonic aesthetic rooted in vintage California vibes. Think: old-school studio sessions, heartfelt melodies, and cinematic warmth. The project borrows from classic folk-pop and packages it with a modern lens—offering a fresh narrative experience.
“This is the way every artist dreams of making an album,” Ashe states. “People don’t sing together anymore when they’re recording, but it was so romantic and fun.” FINNEAS notes, “It’s a true ‘long-play album’ in its real intended meaning. Hopefully, you can have friends over, cook a meal, and play this on vinyl front-to-back.” Ashe adds: “I want you to feel simultaneously warm, fuzzy, and heartbroken at the same time.”
From Coachella 2027 vibes to the intimacy of vinyl on a rainy day, The Favors are building a world listeners can live in—and it all starts with this track.
