Jay Wheeler’s ‘Por Fa No Te Vayas’ adds a tropical chapter, with ‘Girasoles’ doc insights and YouTube, Spotify wins.

Here is the snapshot. Jay Wheeler shares ‘Por Fa No Te Vayas’, a bachata that leans into romance and refreshes his palette with tropical rhythm. The multi platinum artist folds this release into an ongoing evolution that underscores his versatility within Latin music. Issued by Dynamic Records, EMPIRE, the single is now live on digital platforms.

The song’s heart is straightforward, a note to the person you envisioned forever with, asking them to stay. Jay Wheeler chose bachata after seeing contemporaries embrace tropical sound, then built the track in a home studio session. He began with a bachata produced by Yeziell and co written by Puerto Rican songwriter Vasave, and then added his signature phrasing and melodic approach, turning the idea into a close, feeling forward cut with island texture.

“I wanted to do something tropical and different, to challenge myself with a style I hadn’t tried before. I had done salsa once, but I felt I still needed to do bachata. I never imagined it would turn out so special—honestly, it’s one of my favorite songs,” said Jay Wheeler.

The single follows a stretch of activity around ‘Girasoles’, a project documented in ‘Girasoles: Desde La Raíz’, directed by Enrique (Emma) González and produced by Dynamic Records. The film traces personal moments and creative decisions linked to the album.
