Kali Uchis Releases “Sincerely”, a Vulnerable and Genre-Bending Album on Love and Life

Kali Uchis’ “Sincerely” balances ballads, beats, and motherhood in her fifth album. Out now.
GRAMMY® winner Kali Uchis unveils Sincerely, her fifth studio album, and her most soul-baring work yet. Released via Capitol Records, the 14-track record explores the strength found in love, the beauty of self-acceptance, and the complexities of becoming a mother.
Written and executive produced by Uchis, Sincerely delivers dreamy ballads, soul grooves, and genre-defying production. The emotional and sonic shift reflects her own personal transformation, especially after welcoming her first child.
“All I Can Say” distills the album’s tone beautifully, with lyrics that highlight Uchis’ evolving perspective:
“All I can say, is that you belong with me / And a dreamer should dream, how else would dreams turn reality?…”
“Sincerely” was first teased with “Sunshine & Rain,” a track focused on finding joy regardless of life’s storms. April’s “ILYSMIH” introduced fans to her new motherhood chapter, complete with her son’s laughter featured in the song’s outro.
Other emotionally resonant tracks include “It’s Just Us,” which revisits past pain, “Silk Lingerie,” exploring imperfection, and “Territorial,” a bold assertion of boundaries.
Uchis recently surprised fans with a Coachella appearance during JENNIE’s set, performing their collaboration “Damn Right.” With Sincerely, she invites listeners to witness not only her artistry, but her evolution.
