Lil Wayne Releases “Tha Carter VI” Featuring Global Icons and Personal Moments


“Tha Carter VI” arrives with features from Bono, Andrea Bocelli, and Wayne’s sons.
Lil Wayne’s long-anticipated Tha Carter VI is finally here. Released through Young Money Entertainment and Republic Records, the album is his 14th studio effort and the sixth in his Tha Carter series.
The album boasts 19 tracks and a standout lineup of collaborators, ranging from pop culture icons to rising stars and personal family ties. Features include Bono, Andrea Bocelli, Jelly Roll, Kodak Black, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, MGK, Wyclef Jean, and Wayne’s sons Kameron Carter and Lil Novi. The production roster includes Lil Wayne himself, alongside Lin-Manuel Miranda and Wyclef Jean.
Of the release, Wayne shared: “Real art can’t be rushed — and y’all know I ain’t never been on nobody’s clock but mine. Been silent but not still. To the fans who’ve been waiting, I love you. The promotional rollout launched during the NBA Finals with the track “The Days” featuring Bono airing across Game 2 promotions and broadcast placements.
Tonight, Wayne will make history with his first headlining concert at Madison Square Garden, offering a live debut of the new material for his fans.To follow, Wayne’s Tha Carter VI tour will hit venues across North America with Tyga and Belly Gang Kushington on all stops.
