Robin Cisek Pushes Pop Boundaries With Independent Album “Tempered”

The Edmonton-based artist delivers a raw and fully self-produced new album that explores identity and power.
Robin Cisek’s Tempered marks a powerful evolution in her artistry, bringing seven self-written and self-produced tracks that reflect deep emotional introspection. The Edmonton-based Métis artist continues carving space for herself in the music world — on her own terms.
“I wanted to make a statement about how women are told how to feel,” she says. “Tempered glass is beautiful, but strong under pressure.”
With tracks like “Play Dirty” and “Rumor,” Tempered doesn’t shy away from complex emotions. It shifts from vulnerability to defiance, echoing Cisek’s growth not only as a vocalist but as a producer.
The release also includes a visual rollout, with lyric videos underway for songs like “Reactive.” Fans can hear Tempered live on May 30th during a special event at the Chromozone Showcase Room in her hometown.
Cisek’s message throughout the album is one of strength through authenticity — and the result is a project entirely crafted in her voice.
