Viola Odette Harlow, the electro-pop provocateur formerly known as Glüme, delivers “P*rn Star”, a mesmerizing new album out now via Play Girl Records. The release includes the introspective single “Imaginary Friend”, accompanied by a hauntingly beautiful music video.
Merging electro-pop with indie and synth-pop elements, “P*rn Star” showcases Viola’s ability to craft deeply evocative soundscapes. “‘It’s a modern Cinderella story wrapped in tragedy and love,’” she explains. “‘It’s about standing strong even when misunderstood and realizing that you are enough to set yourself free.’”
On “Imaginary Friend”, Viola reflects on lost possibilities and the impact of hardship. “‘I’ve imagined different paths I could have taken, but I’ve come to accept that every moment—good and bad—has shaped who I am today,’” she shares.
Viola will further expand her artistic reach with her debut book, “No One Famous Has It Yet”, set for release on March 31.
