Dean Lewis Drops Surprise Single and Announces “The Epilogue (Deluxe)” for July 11

Dean Lewis releases “I Hate That It’s True” and reveals The Epilogue (Deluxe), featuring 5 new tracks.
Global singer-songwriter Dean Lewis continues to connect with audiences worldwide with the announcement of The Epilogue (Deluxe), arriving July 11 across streaming platforms and as a limited edition 2LP vinyl. Alongside the news, he’s dropped a new single, “I Hate That It’s True,” giving fans a preview of the music direction he’s headed in next.
Dean explains the quick turnaround behind the song’s release:
“Usually when I write a song it takes about a year before it can come out. I wrote ‘I Hate That It’s True’ about 10 weeks ago at an Airbnb in Bondi Beach. The day I wrote it we spent 48 hours finishing the production, rushing it over to my team and adding it onto my deluxe album. For me the song is a hint at what is to come on my next album; in the sense of where I’m headed with my songwriting and the more acoustic raw production.”
The deluxe edition includes five new tracks, led by the already massive “With You,” which has seen more than 62 million streams, 260K TikTok videos, and 11 million views on its official music video. The track earned key playlist support and rotation from Hot Hits Australia, Apple’s Today’s Hits, and MTV Global.
Radio and sync success have pushed the track further—#22 on AU Top 100 Radio, #16 Shazam AU, and a spot in the Global Top 50. A duet version with Canadian artist Sofia Camara also gained attention after being featured on MAFS Australia, further fueling chart momentum.
Also featured: a new cover of Goo Goo Dolls’ “Iris.” With The Epilogue (Deluxe), Dean Lewis builds a bridge between fan favorites and future direction.
