KARABA releases “Surfacing,” an Afro house anthem on rebirth and arrival. Her “Tides” EP lands June 13.

KARABA, the French-Congolese producer/DJ reshaping the Afro house landscape, returns with “Surfacing,” her latest single and the final preview before the full release of her EP Tides on June 13 via ONErpm.

“Surfacing” is a soaring, meditative track enriched with oceanic soundscapes, Afro-centric rhythms, and hypnotic vocal chants—an ode to rebirth and renewal.

“‘Surfacing’ is the final single of my EP, where everything comes together,” KARABA explains. “After the tension and high energy of the journey, it feels like a moment of rebirth and arrival—floating above the water, chanting, and embracing the calm after the storm.”

The single follows “Siren” and “Dark Waters,” each reflecting KARABA’s multidimensional approach to dance music. She pairs her deep connection to rhythm with storytelling drawn from movement and identity.

A former professional dancer for Drake, Chris Brown, and others, KARABA’s roots run deep in global music and performance. Since turning to production, she’s amassed a loyal following and was nominated for a Juno Award in 2024. Her previous single “Dark Waters” landed her the cover of Spotify’s Fresh Finds Canada.

Ahead of the Tides release, KARABA will appear at Lightning in a Bottle and AFRODOM Festival, continuing to expand her global reach.

Stream “Surfacing” now, and experience the full Tides EP this June.
