Laidback Luke Drops “It Clicked,” Signaling His Biggest Creative Shift Yet

Laidback Luke reinvents his sound with “It Clicked,” a high-energy club anthem marking his return to the underground. Out now via Dim Mak.
Laidback Luke is making a statement with his latest single, “It Clicked,” out now on Dim Mak. Marking a shift back to his underground roots, the track reintroduces the high-energy, rebellious sound that first made him a standout in electronic music.
Inspired by early Dutch house and Bloghouse icons like Crookers and The Bloody Beetroots, “It Clicked” is packed with punchy basslines and raw, dancefloor-ready grooves. “I’ve spent the last decade conforming to the streaming market,” Luke explains. “But I wanted to bring back that big, crazy energy I had in the early 2010s.”
The single also represents a homecoming as Laidback Luke joins Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak family. Reflecting on the move, Luke shares, “Signing with Dim Mak felt like stepping into my big brother’s house.”
As a mentor to some of the biggest names in dance music, including Avicii and Afrojack, Laidback Luke’s influence stretches far beyond his own productions. Now, with “It Clicked,” he’s reclaiming his sound, proving that he still has plenty of surprises up his sleeve.
With more releases on the horizon, this is just the beginning of Luke’s next chapter. “It Clicked” is available now on Dim Mak.
