Femme-fatale Luvcat shares “Lipstick,” a noir-kink anthem with theatrical visuals inspired by Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Fresh off a sold-out European tour, Luvcat unveils her newest single “Lipstick,” a seductive blend of glam, grit, and noir storytelling. Described as her “most intoxicating track to date,” the single dives into themes of kink, desire, and power exchange—wrapped in dreamy cabaret style.

“Lipstick is a song about love and kink,” she says. “The desire to please and feel like a little doll to be played with but shown tenderness and devotion in equal measure.”

The music video—co-directed with Ollie Bradley-Baker—is a surrealist nod to Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’s iconic “Doll on a Music Box” scene.

“I used to dress up as her as a kid… a wind-up doll come to life to terrorize the town,” Luvcat notes. “Some things never change I guess.”

Since her debut “Matador,” Luvcat has carved a niche as an indie antihero—part Moulin Rouge enchantress, part eyeliner-drenched rock poet. Singles like “He’s My Man” and “Love and Money” racked up over 25 million streams and drew praise from DIY, Dork, Clash, The Independent, and more.

Tipped as one of 2025’s top 3 artists to watch, Luvcat’s cult following continues to grow. She recently toured Europe, and will play over 30 festivals this summer—including Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds, and Radio 1’s Big Weekend.

Luvcat will also hit New York and LA later this month for two sold-out underplays and two secret pop-up events, with a celebratory watch party in LA for “Lipstick.”
